We met up with Nichol of Five Little Words, in the city to check out the upcoming Holidays hottest fashion accessories, home and entertaining gift items from Etsy’s top vendors. When I think of Etsy I think of unique items, like the gorgeous bedding I purchased for my little princess before she was born, the hand stamped jewelry I purchased as a gift for my sister, and many other items.
Meeting the designers for me is always a treat because I love to learn more about them as a person. I believe you can tell a lot by a persons creations and I am always intrigued to see if my thoughts of them match up to reality.
Jewelry designer Soledad Proano launched her metals and textiles jewelry and accessories company “Sol del Sur”. Soledad enjoyed making things as a child and was interested in learning how things worked which led her to her studies in Engineering. She quickly learned engineers don’t actually make anything and found herself selling scarves on Etsy.
Soledad has since moved past basket weaving scarves and her primary focus is on her jewelry, which keeps her very entertained and busy!
Fed up with mystery and artificial ingredients in skin care products Dominique Caron created a skincare line that would be everything she herself wanted a line to be. Caru Skincare Co. offers fresh, healthy, eco-friendly, and most of all transparent skincare products. Basically nothing you wouldn’t want to put on your skin and nothing you wouldn’t want to throw away in your yard. Dominique Caron crafts gentle and effective products from high quality botanical ingredients that are carefully selected for their potency and sustainability.
Far be it from me to walk past a handbag table and not find one or two that I am in love with. Amanda Schwartz of “Two Tickets” certainly has a few I added to my Holiday wish list. Amanda describers the inspiration behind her brand name as “a culmination of personal meaning and the practical understanding of a handbags functionality”. Two Tickets congers an image of destinations, adventures, and infinite possibilities. Amanda has a passion to unite form and function, past, and present, beauty and durability.
Her display consisted of color blocked handbags, crossbody bags, clutches, phone cases, and my favorite added accessory a fringed tassel key ring. We all have keys we might as well fashionably hold them!
Having a love for creating comforting home spaces, I enjoyed the preview Holiday event. The apartment itself was gorgeous! The Etsy elves did a fabulous job of creating sections gathering unique items. Take a look and tell us which item calls out to you.
The Look Book was given to us and I was all so glad to bring it home and place it on the hubbies night stand. After I dog eared the pages and circled the specific items I was interested in of course.
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. If swag was received it was mentioned in the post. All opinions expressed are 100% my very own.
