Denise Albert, and Melissa Musen Gerstein hosted a private screening of Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” followed by a Q&A with Jennifer Garner. The kids took the lead and asked Jennifer what a bad day is like for her, along with a variety of other questions.
As of lately I have had a independent 3 year old on my hands and after seeing Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, I can say I can somewhat relate!
“Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” tells the story of 11-year-old Alexander, as he takes part in what seems to be the most terrible and horrible day of his life. One that begins with gum in his hair, which he aimlessly cuts out, followed by one misfortune after another.
But when Alexander turns to his family for sympathy with regards to his misfortunes of his disastrous day, he finds they are not interested at all.
In an attempt to have his family sympathize with him he makes a wish just at midnight on his birthday. He awakes in the morning to find his family living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. The movie takes Alexander and his family on a journey of laughable moments, which I found myself relating to.
In the end we all know that an occasional bad day isn’t going to break us, and we tend to appreciate the good days that much more especially when we are surrounded by the ones we love.
Lands End was also on hand to help us prep for the cold weather that is about to be unleashed upon us within the next month, ensuring it is one less bad day we partake in. The kids and I tried on several styles and found our must have fashion forward items to keep us warm through the season.
Sweet City Candy was also on hand to provide these little ones with enough sugar to keep them bouncing right on through the movie! With a setup like this who wouldn’t want to eat every piece in sight.
