My family can recite many of the Leap Frog movies, that is how familiar we are with Leap Frog products. I find Leap Frog products to be great educational tools especially because the kids enjoy the movies, games, and toys so much they have no idea they are really learning. Thats a win for us as parents :). We were all very excited when we were chosen to host a LeapTV MommyParty, my daughter is always eager to jump on a video game with her bigger brother but until Leap TV I just didn’t feel she could benefit from the screen time.

Leap TV is designed for ages 3 – 8, and alters the way children learn with the combination of activities and movement. Set up was a simple this mom did it on her own! I first powered up the controller with 2 double A batteries. Next up i plugged in the power source from the Leap TV to the power strip, then connected the HDMI from the TV to the LeapTV, and then connected to the internet. I plugged in the USB cord from the camera to the LeapTV, and positioned the camera to a flat surface. Lastly we hit power and followed the on screen directions. Within minutes we were ready for play!
Included in our party pack was Dance & Learn and Sports game cartridges to play on the LeapTV.
My kids are both dancers at heart, and tend to dance all over our house daily, we are happy to add a learning aspect to that dance with Leap TV. Dance & Learn brings an integrated curriculum of vocabulary, phonics, compound words and words-all while having a blast and appearing on your TV screen! Kids will walk, wiggle, shake and shimmy to action verbs, these activities introduce or reinforce based on age, the understanding of action verbs and similes. Whether they play alone or with others active fun and learning is on the horizon!
LeapTV Sports brings all the fun and motion of sports into your home with nine action-packed learning games for children ages 4-7. Children will dive into fractions, hit home runs with subtraction, and more by teaming up for soccer/football, bowling, baseball, karate, skateboarding, snowboarding, swimming, rope climbing and weight lifting or playing alone. Leap TV sports is geared for ages 4 – 7 and automatically adjusts the curriculum to each child’s learning level which is accessed on screen based on recognizing numbers and comparing sets to skip counting and comparing fractions.
