No matter where you turn now a days kids are always attached to an electronic device. Yes I have been known to hide said electronics in places unknown. However when it comes to the kids playing an educational app I am all for it. Especially when it is an app they enjoy and one they are unaware, is educating their minds.
We were invited to review Captain McFinn’s Swim & Play App which is ideal for my preschooler or yours ages 3-5 years old. Captain McFinn’s is encouraging little ones to play together in group settings, while learning along with teaching them manners. Children also learn social and emotional skills that they need to get along with others and be successful in school and life – such as sharing and politeness, playing as a group, being thankful and respecting others.
Gia and I played together and in addition to learning we certainly did get some laughs from our little fish avatar. Captain McFinn encourages good behavior, and lets keep it real we all need a little help with that, despite how perfect our lives are on social media.
Captain McFinn’s Swim & Play App allows your little preschooler the opportunity to dive into an interactive underwater adventure. While swimming in this underwater world as a fish avatar, they are guided by a LIVE Deep Sea Explorer. Kids will meet with real life Explorers on a submarine, and discover a whole new world under the sea as they encourage learning through play through three different worlds.
Captain McFinn’s Swim & Play app offers teachable moments that share important life skills that promote kindergarten readiness and can be put into practice at home, at school and at play. Previously available by subscription only, Captain McFinn’s Swim & Play now sells for just $2.99 in the Apple Store and through Google Play.
I am eager to see what additional apps Captain McFinn & Friends, the brand that helps children become good people has to offer my preschooler.
Note: The Deep Sea Explorer only sees how a child’s fish avatar is exploring the underwater world and creates a fun experience based on the activities your child completes.
