Baking cookies is a family tradition. One that has left me with fond memories of my nanny, and I in the kitchen.
Growing up I recall spending countless hours in the kitchen baking batches upon batches of cookies with my nanny (my italian way of referring to my grandma). My nanny would begin cookie preparations at least 2 weeks in advance, I never understood how she was so organized, focused and on task. Obviously Nanny inspired me, and I wanted to be just like her.
Then this little thing called social media came along, and alerts and notifications would lead me down a dark road…
What, oh yeah I was listening..
Sorry just had to read so, and so’s facebook post
OMG did you see what they just tweeted
Aww look how cute this picture is…
DAM how did she get so many likes that fast??
As a result, the cookies are burnt, and Gia is crying because mom doesn’t like her! Say what? Exactly!
As a Verizon Ambassador, I was invited last month to the Verizon Headquarters in New Jersey for a summit where I learned about the perfect gifts for the techy in your life. I also received a couple of these awesome gifts, and now I don’t know how I lived without them! Take a look, and note Overnight Shipping is FREE on orders $49+ until December 23, so you are not to late!
Honestly I had to show some restraint, when I was introduced to the Moto 360 2nd generation, and the Droid Turbo 2. I know I have mentioned the Moto 360 in a few Fashion posts, but let me tell you why I love it specifically before you roll your eyes.

Obviously the Moto 360 keeps track of time, but hey every watch does that. I was more interested in streamlining my life and not getting caught in the time suck of facebook status updates.
The Moto 360 syncs wirelessly via Bluetooth, and sends notifications, such as emails, social updates, weather and traffic, that I choose alerting me directly on my wrist. I no longer need to monitor my Droid Turbo 2 allowing it to rest comfortable on the counter playing my videos I filmed at Jingle Ball. Honestly the light show blasting off the glass jar, does catch my eye on occasion but I force myself to focus, and just jam to the beats.
As for the Droid Turbo 2, seriously they had me at the first drop. Of course I did cringe and the look of fear on my face I’m sure was priceless when the presenter dropped his Droid Turbo. Um, but nothing happened to the phone, can you say shatterproof screen! (waterproof too)! I knew than that was the ideal phone for every and any mom. Little people are drawn to our phones as we are to caffeine, and their little hands are slippery need I say more??
The Droid Turbo 2 also last 48 hours after one charge, are you drooling yet? Well let me add in the image quality! The Droid Turbo 2’s 21–megapixel camera features rapid focus with zero shutter lag to shoot crystal–clear photos and amazing HD video. So for you and I who may not grasp that lingo just know all your pictures will be instagram worthy.

Both the Moto 360, and Droid Turbo 2 have been a perfect addition to our baking escapades. Having the ability to focus on this special traditional family moment with my babies has been a beautiful experience. Even if I kind of am tricking my little people to think Mom isn’t checking her emails. Sorry some client emails have to be sent through to my Moto notifications. So yes even if my hands are full of eggs, and flour, it’s still possible to check my notifications with the flick of my wrist to move back and forth through your messages without ever touching the screen. #MomWin
