You know it’s January when you pull up to the gym and your favorite parking spot, you know the one your car can pull into on its own, and has spent countless hours in is taken. As well as every spot around it.
It seems though this is the reoccurring trend every January. As a gym goer myself I know that usage can increase by at least 25% in the month of January, and will die off by mid February. For those regular gym goers this can become frustrating, and of course you can waste all your energy being annoyed. Or you can encourage the resolutions others have made and workout at home?
Never one to waste energy, I chose the latter.
Having Verizon FiOS on demand, working out on a regular basis with the ability to change up my workout routine is as easy as pushing a button without leaving the comfort of my home.
Here are just a few of the types of workouts that are available via Verizon FiOS (with a monthly subscription):
Boot Camps ~ Boot camps have been on trend for a few years now, in my neighborhood alone there are several boot camp classes. Honestly they kind of intimidate me, all those women are so buff already. I can’t see rolling myself into a class, and being judged by others on my abilities.
A combination of a wide range of aerobic styles, giving you the opportunity to get a full workout in a short period of time….. From your living room!
Yoga and Pilates ~ When I think of Yoga I think of a calm stretch, relaxing my mind and spirit, while working out. Nothing about a crowded gym, or waitlist says a relaxing workout. Skipping the drive, and the parking lot, only to be greeted by a waiting list, I stay home and receive my strength training from a reputable source for Free with my monthly subscription.
Dance ~ Regardless of your dance of preference Verizon FiOS gives you the opportunity to choose from many different dance styles: Flamenco, Bellydance, Striptease, Classic Ballet, Jazz and Urban/Hip Hop dancing workouts. I can attest I was always in the best shape when I was out dancing every night, so you know the Hip Hop workouts are for me. Although I do plan to switch it up, to prevent boredom and ensure I stay on my path of getting fit.
I have been working out at home for the last two weeks, and it has been so much easier to come home after school drop off in the am, and choose via on demand my workout of choice. I also have the opportunity to choose the style, level, and length of workout that is right for me at that moment. Minus the stress, of searching for parking and waiting lists, not to mention I’m closer to my own shower:).
Do you workout at home via Verizon FiOS? What are the benefits for you, for working out from home?
Disclosure: I am a Verizon Ambassador and this is a sponsored post, as always all opinions expressed are my own.

This is really neat, I haven’t heard of this before. For me working out at home is my only option, we can’t afford a gym. I need to look further into the Verizon FiOS as an option for me!

As a busy work at home mom of two boys, it is so incredibly hard for me to fit workouts into my schedule. It looks like there are some great workout programs available from Verizon–who knew?!? Now if only someone could give me the motivation to not hit the snooze alarm…

I love trying out new work out videos I had no idea that Verizon Fios had this option! Collection dvds can take up space and be a waste of money if you never use them again. I need to see if we have this in our area sounds great.

Living a wellness lifestyle is a continuing goal for me (from the time I started a year ago). And it is always a challenge to maintain it! I am so glad there are a lot of convenient and innovative subscription-based apps that helps us. Thanks for your own review of the Verizon fiOS. I lately signed up to a different workout app but I can look into this.

Those are fabulous ideas! I keep thinking I really need to find some work out videos to do at home, because now that I have a house I can do so without having to worry about neighbors below me. Also, I don’t have time for the gym in between my blog, school, and work-plus needing to be home with my pup so he’s not all alone all dang day.

With my husband and my work schedule, I never have time to visit the gym outside the house. I love working out at home. It can be done whenever I want without prying eyes (unless it DH sitting on the couch with a bag of chips watching me!) lol I have never tried this workout before. I’ll have to check it out!

I realize I’m the person who would much rather work out from home. I’ve signed up for gym memberships before and none of them lasted beyond a year. I just love exercising in the comfort of my own home!

This is so exciting and something I had no idea existed. Thanks so much for the helpful information. Can’t wait to get my dance on.

I just started hearing about this and I have never tried Verizon fiOS, but it looks really cool. We actually don’t live near a gym so it would be nice to try this at home! When I did have a membership I do remember January and it was crazy. Even if you do get in the door you will still be sitting there waiting for an elliptical! One time I think I sat in the sauna room for 30 min and went home!

I didn’t realize how much fios has to offer. I will have to check out these options and not be a couch potato. I will be in shape in no time with the help with Verizon fios.
