Cold wintery days are definitely the norm this season. That makes no matter, because as New Yorkers we never let the climate affect our plans. We headed down to the Children’s Museum of the Arts to get crafty with MomTrends and Wonderful Halos on possibly the coldest day this winter.
The room was setup with workstations for each child which included a very cool cylindrical container which I have already repurposed in my office, (more on that later). Inside was another cool fabric container (which now houses all of my Halo mandarines), filled with crafting supplies as well as craft templates. In addition on the step by step how to cards, there were also artists on hand to help the little ones create their masterpieces.
While the kids were busy crafting, which they love to do, this mama was busy eating and sipping on the spicy Merry Mandarin Cider. Which was perfect for the seasonal sore throat I had been nursing for weeks. So perfect I think I had about three. The Wonderful Halos Proscuitto Bruschetta Bites was also very delicious, and my favorite was the chocolate dipped Halos. So yes I will admit while the kids were creating their crafts I was lurking near the food table. Could you blame me? Halos have always been a favorite snack of ours. Sadly the thought never crossed our mind to use them in a recipe. (Face Palm). We will be recreating the recipes at home and sharing our experience, as well as the recipes with you in a separate post.
