As a mom who is constantly on the go, with kids on call, I need a phone with multiple capabilities. Which is why I have been a fan of the iPhone for many years. Like any good tech geek, I have been known to wait inline with each new release. I have had the 7+ for quite sometime now, and I am very pleased with the features they are continuously pushing out with updates.
The iPhone 7+ is equipped with portrait mode and if you are not familiar let me tell you it is a game changer! I use portrait mode to submit my children’s headshots to casting calls. So many are so misinformed and really believe they need to spend money on professional photographers etc to submit images. Save your money and use the tips I have to share with you below, and get your kiddos to work!
Photo Tips for iPhone 7 Plus and Portrait Mode
Portrait mode works in a well lit environment, so be sure to find an indoor or outdoor spot.
The further your subject is from your background, the more pronounced the blur effect will be.
Shoot against a non-solid background to get the most out of the depth effect
If shooting more than one person, make sure to keep in the same plane so the subject stays sharp, be sure to keep the subject under 3 people.
