If your hands, lips, and body feel chapped and dry, you’re not alone — and if you’re like me, you are probably ready to do anything to keep yourself moisturized.
I am always searching for reliable skincare products that’ll help keep us feeling hydrated and silky smooth from head to toe. Items from hand cream, lip balm, and moisturizers for dry skin are everywhere.
However, it’s so challenging to know which actually works. The products I am sharing below are a must for me to make it through these cold months, along with a few tips I have learned to stay moisturized.
Tips to keep in mind when dealing with dry skin.
- Ditch the Hot Showers. I admit settling in under a hot shower feels so good. However, truthfully it removes moisture from our skin. Instead, try a lukewarm shower and limit it to five minutes.
- Products containing hyaluronic acid, glycerin, or ceramides aim to help lock in moisture, retain water, and delivers a dewy look.
- Turn down the thermostat. It may be cold outside, but you can layer up instead of blasting the heat. The heat dries out your skin, which is the opposite of what you need this time of year. If lowering the heat isn’t an option, invest in a humidifier. It’ll help add moisture back into your space, which your skin will absorb.
