My husband and I tend to spend a great portion of our time on a hunt for the trendiest coolest items to be found for back to school supplies and styles. Traveling from one store to the next to ensure my kids have the latest and greatest themed backpacks, folders, and notebooks is normal because for us school is number one on our radar and if obtaining that Super Mario brothers backpack from downtown will make JD happy enough to maintain his above average grades then mom will be very happy!
With all that said nothing can be more disappointing than going through all that shopping schlepping to and fro all over NYC and then losing an item and it going into the abyss AKA ” The LOST and FOUND”. Which I dont know about your school, but if something goes into our schools lost and found my kids are well aware to call it a loss and move on!
Therefore I have become that obnoxious mom, if you will, that over labels everything with Mabels Labels:).
Another reason I label everything is kids are gross!
When it comes to my sons pencils and markers I label each and every single one… a bit over the top? maybe. They stick their pencils in their mouths, in their ears, and only God knows where else. So I’d just prefer we each keep our koodies to ourselves. (Note I do send in extra pencils and markers, for the class to have if they run out).
Yes I am a control freak and each year I control the controllables with Mabels Labels. Mabels Labels are offered in a variety of combination packs which can accomodate little ones ready to start pre-k right on up to the collage student because the truth is we all want our stuff back if we should lose it. Mabels Labels also offers household labels, allergy stickers, and safety bracelets to name a few.

As you can see above the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, Gia is certainly doing her best to avoid mix-ups and lost belongings with the debut of the Little Kid School combo. This combo features customized extra-durable, waterproof labels and tags, as well as shoe labels, which helps kids learn their lefts and right so shoes go on the correct feet. The collection includes 20 designs, and is priced at $42 for 108 labels and tags.
JD stuck with the Ultimate back to school combo, with a skull and crossbones motif, which helps him stay organized and keeps his belongings out of the lost and found every school year with Mabel’s Labels’ best-selling collection of personalized durable, waterproof labels. The collection includes 4 limited-edition solid palettes or 40+ multicolored designs, plus special back-to-school motifs. Priced at $42 for 108 labels and tags, but dont stick this combo in your basket and forget about it becuase its only available until September 30, 2015.
Mabels Labels are the perfect size for the little ones to join in on the labeling fun, also giving them a little sense of responsibility of their own belongings. Just be warned you may very well end up with labeled milk containers and cereal boxes! Yep they went there..
